Tamara has me working hard just about everyday filming for season two and we’re already excited to show everyone what we’ve been renovating, designing and everything else in between. Unfortunately, I can’t give much away! All I can tell you is that you won’t want to miss season two. The homes are all over the metro area and there might even be one in your neighborhood! For now, take a look back at the kitchens of season one. Which one is your favorite and what would you like to see in season two?
The back of the home was made up of three separate rooms consisting of a bright yellow kitchen, breakfast nook, and patio. This was an inconvenient layout for today’s family so we took out all the dividing walls and expanded the space.
Barstools: Wahoo | Cabinets: McCartney | Appliances: Dolittle | Cabinet Hardware: Locks and Pulls | Countertop and Tile Backsplash: Daltile | Floral Arrangements: Branches and Twigs | Faucet: Kohler | Vermont Soapstone Sink | Range: American Range
We added two large picture windows to add some light into an area that was once a dark, small space. The final product offers a beautiful open concept that homeowners will enjoy for years!
Again, another choppy kitchen in a 5+ bedroom house. With so many bedrooms, we wanted to expand the kitchen in hopes that a large family would move in.
We removed the dividing wall between the kitchen and the living room to allow for an open concept. As you can see from the mint green island, the kitchen was extremely dated.
Countertops: ONE Quarts Surfaces | Daltile (Calcutta) | Bowl: Terrafirma Ceramics | Island Pendants: Barbara Cosgrove | Cabinets: McCartney Cabinets | Countertop Fabrication: Rocktops | Faucet: Kingston Brass | Cabinet Hardware: Locks and Pulls | Light (above kitchen table): Wilson Lighting | Pink Ranunculus: Branches and Twigs| Mango Wood Dining Chairs: Growing Days Collection found at Restoration Emporium | Artwork: Leopold
We added a large kitchen island and high end appliances. I ended up liking this home so much I bought it (with the kitchen being one of the main selling points!)
We can’t wait for you to join us for season two of Bargain Mansions. See you there!
